This is the only official upgrade site. Type it into your browser yourself and check the domain carefully before connecting your wallet — never trust a link sent to you.

The Telcoin Association will never:

  • Send you an upgrade link by DM — on any platform, ever
  • Ask for your seed phrase or private keys
  • Ask you to approve an unlimited or “infinite” token allowance

The official upgrade page always upgrades your full balance in a single step — you’ll never be asked to upgrade a partial amount.

New TEL is the upgraded version of TEL, replacing old TEL across the Telcoin ecosystem. Holders upgrade 1:1: the amount of TEL you hold doesn't change.

Key changes:

  • Decimals: 2 to 18 (finer precision, standard for EVM tokens)
  • Same contract address on every network
  • Bridge authorized mint/burn for cross chain supply management
  • Built to function as Telcoin Network's native gas token
  • Standard EVM compatibility (easier integration for wallets, exchanges, DEXs, custodians)

We're in discussions with exchanges, wallets, and custodians about supporting new TEL, but each one works to its own timeline and integration process.

No to both. The ticker stays TEL, and you receive the same amount of new TEL as old TEL you upgrade (10,000 old TEL becomes 10,000 new TEL).

New TEL blue logoNew TEL

The only technical change is precision: old TEL supports amounts down to 0.01, new TEL supports down to 0.000000000000000001. This isn't dilution: one TEL is still one TEL, just divisible into smaller units. That precision matters for gas pricing, DeFi math, and cross chain transfers.

Because both tokens may show up in wallets during the transition, tell them apart by contract address and network, not just the ticker or logo (old TEL's logo turns grey, but don't rely on that alone).

Official contract addresses

  • Token contract (new TEL you hold): 0x7E13B43065380aCdeC1c2d138c579cbBbafA0731 — same on all networks
  • Upgrade contract (approve this to convert old TEL): 0x2703E00cAE30A7707e4d18C38f8CB6A4a40c2703 — same on all networks
  • Old TEL, per network:
  • Ethereum: 0x467Bccd9d29f223BcE8043b84E8C8B282827790F
  • Base: 0x09bE1692ca16e06f536F0038fF11D1dA8524aDB1
  • Polygon: 0xdF7837DE1F2Fa4631D716CF2502f8b230F1dcc32

Only trust addresses published on the official upgrade site, https://tel3.telcoin.network.

TEL is meant to be Telcoin Network's native gas token, and the old 2 decimal token doesn't have the precision needed for gas pricing, cross chain transfers, and DeFi activity at scale. The token upgrade is the first step toward being able to launch the network. Doing it now means validators, bridges, exchanges, developers, wallets, and liquidity providers can all build around one token standard from the start, rather than integrating the old version and upgrading everything later. Telcoin Network itself will only ever need to support new TEL.

New TEL is the only version that will be supported on the Telcoin Network.

If trading on a centralised exchange is important to you, it is advised you ensure your chosen CEX has added support for new TEL. Exchanges handle the upgrade differently, please check with them first or via the exchange status.

Yes. New TEL is the only version supported on Telcoin Network, and old TEL is being retired.

You have 24 months total, in two windows:

  • Months 1 to 12 (primary window): Full 1:1 upgrade for everyone. This is the simple, certain path, and the one we encourage everyone to take.
  • Months 12 to 24 (extended window): 1:1 upgrades continue from the remaining reserve, first come first served, until month 24 or the reserve runs out. The Compliance Council finalizes the exact policy for this window in public, based on real participation data, well before the month 12 checkpoint.
  • After month 24: Upgrade support ends; any remaining reserve moves to the Treasury via the governed close out process.

Yes, on venues that haven't upgraded yet (CEXs, DEX pools still holding old TEL). Expect liquidity to shrink over time as the ecosystem moves to new TEL. Telcoin Network itself will only ever support new TEL.

  • Go to the official upgrade page: https://tel3.telcoin.network
  • Connect your EVM compatible wallet, confirm you're on the right network
  • Approve the upgrade contract, confirm the upgrade
  • Receive new TEL in the same transaction, same chain, same wallet: no bridging needed

Notes:

  • Upgrade contracts live on Ethereum, Polygon, and Base: upgrade on whichever network you already hold TEL on.
  • Upgrades are whole balance only; partial upgrades aren't supported.
  • It's one way: no converting back through the upgrade contract.
  • You need the native gas token of that network (e.g. ETH on Ethereum/Base, POL on Polygon).
  • No KYC required for self custody upgrades.
  • TEL in a TELx liquidity pool: close your LP position first, so the TEL is in your wallet before upgrading. Rejoin a new TEL LP after the upgrade.
  • Telcoin Wallet: supports upgrading both staked and unstaked TEL. Unstaked needs an approval step first (two steps total), staked only is a single step.
  • TEL on an exchange or custodial platform: don't use the upgrade page directly. Follow your provider's own process, or withdraw to a self custodial wallet before their deadline if they won't support it.

Yes. The Telcoin Association has published a tutorial that walks through the upgrade end to end, from connecting your wallet to new TEL arriving in it. Watching it once is the quickest way to see what each step looks like before you do it yourself.

The written steps above stay the reference: if anything in the video differs from this page, follow the page, because the page is kept current.

New TEL is a new contract, so a wallet that doesn't list it yet shows nothing after you upgrade until you add the token by hand. Your balance is safe on chain either way: adding the token only tells your wallet which contract to display.

Connect your wallet with the Connect button at the top of the page first.

New TEL uses the same address on Ethereum, Polygon and Base: switch network and tap again to add it on another one.

In MetaMask, Rabby, Trust Wallet, or any other self custody wallet:

  • Open your wallet and switch it to the network you upgraded on: Ethereum, Polygon, or Base.
  • Open Import tokens or Add custom token, usually at the bottom of the token list or in the wallet's settings.
  • Paste the new TEL token contract address: 0x7E13B43065380aCdeC1c2d138c579cbBbafA0731
  • The symbol (TEL) and decimals (18) usually fill in by themselves. If your wallet leaves them blank, enter them yourself, then confirm. Your new TEL balance appears in the token list.

Notes:

  • New TEL uses the same address on Ethereum, Polygon, and Base, but each network keeps its own token list: repeat these steps on every network you hold new TEL on.
  • New TEL has 18 decimals, up from old TEL's 2. That's why an old entry, or a new one added with the wrong decimals, can display an amount that looks nothing like your balance. Check that field first if the number looks wrong.
  • Telcoin Wallet users don't need to do any of this: the app shows new TEL on its own.
  • Never add a token using an address someone sends you in a DM, a comment, or a support chat. Only use the address published on https://tel3.telcoin.network.

The bridge moves new TEL between Ethereum, Polygon, and Base over LayerZero. It burns new TEL on the network you send from and mints the same amount on the network you send to, at the same wallet address.

Before you start:

  • New TEL in your wallet on the network you're bridging from. Old TEL can't be bridged: upgrade it first.
  • The gas token of that network: ETH on Ethereum and Base, POL on Polygon. It pays the gas for the approval and bridge transactions, plus the LayerZero network fee the portal shows before you send. You don't need gas on the network you're bridging to.

Steps:

  • Open the bridge portal and select Connect Wallet.
  • The network your wallet is on is the From network. Pick the To network from the list next to it: from Ethereum you can send to Polygon or Base, and so on. If your wallet is on a network the bridge doesn't serve, select one of the Switch to buttons. To bridge the other way, select the arrow between From and To, which switches your wallet to the To network.
  • Enter the amount of new TEL to bridge, or select MAX for your whole balance. Check the amount under Receive on your To network and the Network fee.
  • Select Step 1: Approve new TEL and confirm the approval in your wallet. It covers only the amount you entered, never an unlimited allowance. If the button already reads Step 1 complete, go straight to the next step.
  • Select Step 2: Bridge to your To network and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
  • Wait for delivery. Once the transaction confirms, the portal shows the transfer as sent, with an estimated arrival of 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Select Track on LayerZero Scan to follow the transfer until it's delivered, then switch your wallet to the destination network to see your new TEL.

Notes:

  • “Bridging is currently paused. Please check back later.” means the bridge contract is paused: the portal hides both steps and no transfer can be sent. Your new TEL stays in your wallet where it is and there's nothing you need to do. Check back later and follow official announcements.
  • “Bridging is not configured for the active networks yet.” means the bridge isn't live on those networks yet.
  • You don't need the bridge to upgrade. Upgrading happens on the network you already hold TEL on, Polygon included, with no bridging. Upgrade first, then bridge new TEL if you want it on another network.
  • The approval goes to the MintBurnWrapper contract, listed as the approve target under Official Contract Addresses on the bridge page. Check the address in your wallet before you confirm.
  • Only use the bridge on the official site, https://tel3.telcoin.network, and check the domain before you connect your wallet. Never send TEL directly to the bridge contracts or to anyone claiming to be Telcoin Support.
  • TELIP16 is the Council authorized process behind the technical upgrade itself (contracts, upgrade window policy).
  • TGIP just amends the Association Constitution's Preamble to name the new contract address, since only the Miner Assembly can amend the Statutes (Article 12.1). It doesn't change the upgrade window, recovery schedule, or staking rules.
